Treak Village Walk and Talk Tour
Our Treak Village Tour is a short walking tour of approximatley 2km. The Tour can be run at any time between 9am and 4pm and generally takes approximately 2 hours. A maximum of four people will be booked for any one tour.
Treak Village is located around 10 minutes from Siem Reap town. Many of the villagers are itinerate workers living day to day. The village is situated close to the rice plains spreading out from the Tonle Sap lake.
This tour enables you to visit a village and encounter people going about their daily lives. This is an opportunity to meet local people and interact with them in a respectful and meaningful way. Photo opportunities abound and your guide will provide information on the village and the peoples lives. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about life in Cambodia.

General Information
- It is extremely important on this tour that you do not provide gifts, hand outs or donations directly to villagers or children. Should you wish to help please speak to your tour leader. We appreciate your understanding on this matter. If you have any questions please discuss with your guide.
- From each tour 50% of the tour fee goes to an enrichment fund which is spent on helping the village on village agreed projects
- Sponsorship for fruit trees, rubbish collection or toilets is available

Treak Village Walk and Talk

Our walking tour takes you through the local village out to the rice fields. Learn about Cambodian stilt homes and life in a typical Cambodian village. This tour includes a visit to the active Pagoda and Ancient ruins. |

As you wander slowly through the village your guide will show you about the way of life for the local people and answer any questions that you have. Learn about Cambodia, religion and the peoples lives. This is a chance to meet local people, learn about their lives and interact in a respectful and meaningful way. |

The tour takes around 2 to 2.5 hours and covers around 2 kilometers. Photography is welcome and your guide will let you know if any one does not wish to be photgraphed. This is a wonderful tour for anyone who would like to learn about the real Cambodia and is ideal for photo enthusiasts. |

Please note; Please do not hand out gifts, money etc within the village. These well meaning gestures can cause jealousy and lead to the begging cycle. 50% of the cost of this tour goes back to helping this villages poorest families. |

Cambodian Cooking Classes
AM / PM & Full Day Classes - Running Daily
Learn to make traditional Cambodian Cuisine in a rural village. Cambodian Cooking Classes run daily and are fully hands on interactive class. Each class runs for a maximum of 6 participants (except for private group bookings) and are lead by a head chef. Classes include a visit to a local family to learn about cooking in a traditional Khmer household, local food customs and superstitions.
Kompong Phhluk
Located around 16 km from Siem Reap, on the flood plains of the Tonle Sap is the village of Kompong Phhluk. For those with enough time this is an absolute must see!
Homes tower on stilts, some 10 meters high in dry season, while in the wet water laps at the floor boards. Fewer toursits make it out here making it an ideal place to visit for those wishing to escape the tourist path. If you are short on time The Great Lake tour may be better, but for those with time available this is a must visit!
