Leave the hotel for outlying temples including the oldest of the Angkor Era, Bakong - early 20th century Buddhist temple. Bakong's history makes it a sad but interesting place to visit as this temple became a prison and thousands of Cambodians lost their lives at this site in the Pol Pot regime. We also visit the sites close by of Preahko and the Lolie pagoda. This trip includes the beautiful Ta Prohm temple where the massive tree roots and temple stones seem frozen in battle. We also visit the beautiful Banteay Srei whose intricate carvings are the most detailed and beautiful in all of Angkor.
What to Wear
The sandy soil on the steps of the temples can create quite a slip hazard. We strongly suggest you wear sturdy footwear. Many parts of the temple areas are exposed, please wear protective clothing, hat and sunscreen.
Revealing clothing is not appopriate for the temples. Please be respectful and avoid wearing anything too revealing.

We chronologically visit the splendid Khmer temples from Angkor Era, Bakong, whose early 20th century Buddhist temple became torturing centre, where thousands of Cambodians lost their lives during the Pol Pot regime.
Witness the funerary Preah ko and an island temple of Lo Lie, elaborately adorned with some of the finest decorations of Khmer art.
An excursion through farming villages to the most intricately carved Banteay Srei , which is famed for its detailed and really fine carvings, and the serene Banteay Samre, that is often missed but this is absolutely beautiful, and end your day at the amazing Ta Prohm which is known as the jungle temple.
