Our Family Odyssey Package is designed for families with children up to their early teens, although could easily be enjoyed by older children as well. We combine the best of the temple sights with other great Siem Reap attaractions breaking it down into more manageable chunks. Our team and guides have lead many tours with children and will help make recommendations to suit your family. Whether is helping older children get the latest music and shows onto their i pods, or providing fun temple activity sheets for younger children we are here to help make this a special experience for everyone.

Itinerary
This package is based on an early afternoon arrival into Siem Reap. We will happily tailor the itinerary to suit your specific flight arrangements.
| Arrival | Your Tours Manager and Guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Your Tours Manager will run through your package and answer any questions that you may have. |
| 3pm | Treak Village Experience Walk and Talk Tour This walking tour is just under 2km all on flat ground. We take the tour very slowly allowing you to wander at your own pace. We visit a local village and have an opportunity to learn about life in Cambodia. This is a great chance for you and your kids to savour the village experience and learn about village life. Kids will love seeing the buffalo, oxen, rice fields and stilted homes. There is always something happening that will fascinate the young and young at heart. |

| Dinner | We provide transport to and from the restaurant of your choice. We are happy to make recommendations for child friendly restaurants. |
Day Two: Angkor Wat & Balloon Ride
| 8.30am | Depart the hotel right after a relaxing breakfast and head to the old market. Your guide will provide a short tour of the local produce section and will help you to purchase some bananas (for feeding the elephants). This is a great spot to capture some interesting photos. |
| 9.15am | We then head to the amazing Angkor Wat the largest religious monument ever built. Stroll around this massive monument to admire the Khmer architectural masterpiece and engineering. Your guide will help bring this to life and engage everyone in the stories of the past. |
| 11.30am | After Angkor we head up to Bayon Temple. At this point we can stop and feed the temple elephants the bananas we purchased at the market that morning. If everyone is feeling up to it we can enter and explore Bayon, or head back to town. |
| Lunch | Return to town or hotel for lunch and rest |
| Afternoon | The afternoon is set aside for some free time. We are happy to make some suggestions for this time, or leave it completely up to you. |
| 5pm | Head out for the balloon ride to see surrounding view of Angkor Park, towers of Angkor Wat appearing in the jungle, Phnom Bakheng Hill, west Barray (reservoir), city landscape and mountain ranges. |
| Dinner | Have dinner in town. |
| Evening | Transport is provided to enable you to explore the night market. Kids will love watching or perhaps enjoying a fish massage. |
Day Three: Great city of Angkor Thom & Horse Ride
| After Breakfast | Following breakfast we leave the town for the great city of Jayavarman VII via southern gate, which is nicely adorned with stone smiling faces and preceded by stunning causeway. |
| 8.30am - 11.30am | We spend the morning exploring some of the amazing temples. If we did not enter Bayon yesterday this becomes our starting point. The famous Bayon is decorated with mysterious faces of both Buddha’s and the king’s. Kids will have the challenge of trying to count how many faces adorn this temples tours. Following Bayon we visit Baphoun, Phimean Naga, Elephant and leper king terraces. These are great sites to explore with interesting stories and carvings. |
| 11.30 | We then head back into town and collect your pre ordered picnic lunch. A quick stop at the hotel is possible to refresh! Make sure you have a hat and sunglasses. |
| 12.00 | We then head out to the Tonle Sap lake and board a boat to explore the floating village. Once out on the lake we you can enjoy lunch. Journey past floating homes, schools and even a basketball court. |
| 4.30pm | We head back towards town to Happy Ranch horse farm. Our day's main activities finish with a one hour horse ride. If this sounds too adventurous then a cart is a nice option too. Enjoy wandering at a relaxed pace through the Cambodian Country Side. Helmets are provided. This is a lovely way to see the day draw to a close. |

Day Four: Tuk Tuk Ride & Jungle Temple

We highly recommend one early start to visit the amazing temple of Ta Prohm. Getting their early means you miss the hordes of tour buses that visit this popular temple throughout the day. Ta Prohm was made famous in the move tomb raider with Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie). The massive trees and roots are locked in a silent battle with the temple stones. The early start means the temple will be just about yours alone. As we head out of the temple area we make a short stop at the made made pool Srah Srang. This was once a holy ablution pool. |
| 8.00am | Return for breakfast at the hotel (We will also pick up our picnic lunch) |
| 9.00am 11.30 | We journey around 16km to visit the national silk center where the whole silk process revealed, this includes silk-worms farming, silk extraction, colour dying and weaving. A short stop at the cafe is possible for ice cream (not included in the package price). The silk centre is a really interesting visit and enjoyed by all visitors. |
| 12.00 - 2.30 | We head back into town stopping on route at the amazing West Barray. This ancient reservoir system is still in use today. Your guide will help explain how this system supported the ancient empire. The Barray is lovely and the cool breeze off the water nice and refreshing. If the water level is high we can catch a boat across to a small island and enjoy lunch over on the island. Alternatively we will find a spot to relax on the shore and enjoy lunch on the banks of the Barray. |
| Afternoon | The afternoon is set aside for your leisure. Should you wish to return to the temples this is possible or alternatively you may like to explore the town of Siem Reap and markets. Your driver is at your disposal and we will happily make recommendations |
| 6.30pm | Included within your package is an Apsara Dinner and Dance show. This is an opportunity to enjoy some traditional Khmer Dancing. The venue provides a limited Asian style buffet. The show lasts for around one hour. Should you feel this is too long for your children departing during the show will not cause offence. |
Day Five: Departure "Goodbye Siem Reap"
We provide return transfers back to Siem Reap airport, boat or bus stop. If you have a later departure we are more than happy to make recommendations for this day. Please note we have not included any additional transport for this day within the package pricing.
Details of Inclusions
Balloon Ride
Your package includes one trip in Angkor's tethered balloon. Please note this trip us subject to the terms and conditions of the operator. Should the balloon trip be cancelled due to weather or other reasons we will re schedule this for another time within the package. If the trip can’t be rescheduled we do not provide a refund for this trip. There are no additional charges should we need to travel back to the balloon departure point more than once.
Dinner and Dance show
We have included one tickets per person for a Khmer Dinner and Dance show. This is performed at a venue that caters for large groups. Please note should you prefer a more intimate experience there are several options in town. The additional cost is $15 per person.
Dress Codes
Please keep in mind that Asia holds different cultural values. While strict dress codes only apply in a few places it is worthwhile keeping your attire in mind. As a general rule covering shoulder and avoiding overly revealing clothing is appreciated.
Dress Code Angkor Wat
For visits to Angkor Wat there are dress codes that must be met if you wish to access the top levels (Shoulders and Knees must be covered / no plunging necklines). Even if you do not wish to enter the top of Angkor we ask you to please keep in mind Cambodia’s culture and dress respectfully.
Guide Services
You package includes the services of a local English speaking guide for all days of your itinerary. Surcharges will apply for languages other than English. Should you wish to extend the services of your guide, for example additional sunrise departures, or additional days surcharges will apply.
Horse Riding
Your package includes a one hour horse ride at Happy Ranch. This is subject to the booking terms and conditions of the ranch. Please note there are weight limits for riders. Helmets are provided by the ranch. Indemnity forms must be signed to ride. Should you wish to extend your ride you are responsible for covering the extra charges.
Insurance
We do not provide insurance. All guests are responsible for ensuring they have adequate travel insurance.
Tonle Sap
Your package includes one private boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake. Please note under the lake operation scheme we have no control over choosing the boat or operator - this works on a driver queue basis. Whether it’s wet or dry the village provides amazing opportunities for photography.
Outlying Temples
Outlying temple trip is included. Please note these sites are 42km from Siem Reap. Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear and long sleeves are recommended

Breakfast is included daily for each of the hotel options
A picnic lunch is provided on days 3 and 4 which you order from our Beyond Menu
All other meals are NOT included. We will happily make suggestions for child friendly restaurants around Siem Reap. There are many restaurants with cuisine from all corners of the globe.
Pricing and Payment
All rates are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated. No bookings can be made until your deposit is received. Deposits are non refundable.
Temple Passes
This package requires you to purchase a three day temple pass. Temple passes come in one day $40, 3 day $40 or 7 days passes $60 per person.
Children under 12 years are free- but a passport will be required for proof of age.
The Temple pass is NOT included in the price. Please note temple passes are the same as cash. If they are lost or damaged you will need to purchase a new one.
Beng Melea temple requires a separate temple pass. Please note should you visit this temple you will need to purchase this pass. As at Aug 2010 this is $5 per person.
Transfers
Your package includes return transfers to and from the airport, boat or bus station.
Transport
Your package includes transport by car for the duration of the package. Please note transport is only included for items listed within the itinerary or travel in the town area during the day. Should you wish to extend the services of you driver in the evening this is charges at $4 per hour.
Tours Manager
Your tours manager is responsible for ensuring you have an amazing time during your trip to Siem Reap. They will meet you at the airport and ensure you have the opportunity to run through your itinerary and ask any questions. They are available throughout your stay to help resolve any problems that arise or help tailor your trip to better suit you needs.
Visas & Taxes
You are responsible for ensuring you have visas and for paying any entry or exit taxes to enter or depart the country.
Village Tour
Included is a guided walking tour through a local village. 50% of the tour fee goes to a fund to help the local village. Please ensure that you do not hand out gifts, lollies, or money within the village. Well meaning gifts can create jealousy and help contribute to the begging cycle. If you wish to help please discuss this with our team.
West Barray
The West Barray is a fascinating visit. We cannot guarantee the water levels at the time of your trip. Usually accessing the island temple is fine throughout rainy season. During dry season their may be a longer walk from the boat to the temple, or it may not be accessible. Should you have concerns about accessing this attraction Please discuss this with your tours Manager on arrival.
