Important Information

Please do not hand out money or gifts to children or people within the village. Your gifts are appreciated, but handing them out helps to create a begging culture. Should you wish to make a contribution or donation please speak with your tours manager who can help direct this appropriately.

Please note your participation in this tour provides assistance to the village through a coordinated village program managed by HUSK.

Day Two The Amazing Angkor Wat & Ancient City of Angkor Thom

Sunrise at Angkor Wat

5am A not to be missed sunrise at Angkor Wat. Following sunrise we head out of Angkor Wat and go straight to the ancient city
of Angkor Thom. Capture some amazing pictures of giant sandstone statues of the gods, demons and the smiling faces topping the
Gate. The famous Bayon, whose towers are beautifully decorated with both the Buddha’s and the king’s faces and they religiously
signify the Charity, Compassion, Sympathy and Equanimity. Elephant and leper king terraces

After the famous Bayon temple we then go to Preah Khan, the university back to Angkor period.

1pm Return to the hotel to get away from the hot sun, have lunch and rest.

3pm In the afternoon leave your hotel for the magnificent Angkor Wat. Stroll around and enjoy the skillfully carved and detailed carvings on
the gallery panels. Climb all the way up to the top, view the Angkor complex and cool off.

We head out to pool of ablution where we’ll stay and take the photos of the temple reflection until sunset.

7.00pm Dinner at one of our specially selected restaurants. Choose between Sugar Palm, Sojourn or AHA.

Options:

• Should you wish to maximise the time with early light breakfast can be purchased at the Angkor Café – please note this can sometimes be very busy with tour groups. We can provide a take away breakfast pack. Please speak to your tours manager for a menu.
• You may like to extend your cultural experience of Cambodia and take advantage of an evening traditional dance performance. Your Tours Manager will be happy to provide information on the various options and standards available throughout town.

Day Three
Explore jungle temples and floating villages

Floating Village

6am Ta Prohm is a sight to behold and often becomes visitors favourite temple. The mixture of ancient stones and tree roots frozen in battle provides much inspiration for the visitor. We visit Ta Prohm early to avoid the masses of crowds and provide a unique visit in this incredible temple.
8.00am We take a 1 hour drive up to the northeast of the city to the picturesque temple of Beng Mealea. The journey out takes us
through some perfect countryside for photography passing through traditional Cambodian villages, rice fields, oxen and cattle.

The Temple of Beng Melea is still overrun by vegetation and not often visited by tourists, giving us a fantastic ruin for exploration.

Lunch picnic pack selected from our menu
Afternoon Journey to one of the floating communities of Siem Reap province, called Kampong Khleang. Our visit includes a boat trip to see villages with houses that stand about 8 to10meters in the air in dry season or sit level with the water in the wet.

Visit the floating village which includes Vietnamese, Cambodians and few Chinese families. A little village walk, a school and pagoda visit all provide excellent opportunities for pictures.
